Poem 47: Fire

Fire in the distance
A beautiful seductive light
Shades of orange, red, and white
Flickering flame against the sky

Pulling me close
Alongside the moths flight
Crackling echoes in the night
And billowing clouds of grey
Into the night escape
Til only your fragrance remains

So all may wonder but cannot see
How wild your fire ignites for me
Pray so long as distance looms
We are not consumed
